A Snowy Night Long Ago ...

The White Wolf Clan was started in October 1999 in the original Everquest.  More specifically, 14 charter members gathered in Halas on the Tribunal server and formed the guild under our original guildleader, Cypress.  Although Cypress was a wood elf, most of our original crew were Barbarians, befitting the Halasian origins of the guild.

The Strength of the Wolf is in the Pack ...

Our founding principles rested upon 5 simple but important elements of conduct that all prospective wolves had to learn and expound upon openly in the presence of the guild before becoming a member of the White Wolf Clan.  Over time, we realized that these principles of Fellowship, Respect, Assistance, Compassion and Honor would serve to strengthen our Clan in ways we could never have predicted when we first formed the guild on that snowy evening in Halas.  To this day, our Code of Conduct still guides our actions in every realm we explore.

The Clan Grows, Heartaches Shared ...

Over the course of the next two years, the White Wolf Clan grew from a small clan of 14 members to nearly 100 main characters, but despite that growth, we never lost the sense of being a family oriented guild.  Great friends have come and gone, and one of our dearest friends, Joseywales, was taken from us far too soon, and yet despite the heartache of that loss, the Clan endured.

With Time Comes Change ...

Many slain dragons and planes raids later, the Clan split into two main groups, one-half leaving Everquest in October 2001 to form Aedes Pendragon in Dark Age of Camelot, and one-half staying in Everquest to merge with our hunting partners and sister guild, The Knights of the Tribunal.  Many of those who stayed in Everquest would remain there over the next 2 to 3 years.  As for the rest, there were starkly new lands to explore.

Defending Albion ...

Formed in October 2001, Aedes Pendragon set out to recreate the success enjoyed by the White Wolf Clan in the original Everquest.  We succeeded in doing so by adherence to the same original 5 elements of our Code of Conduct, and we had a lot of fun to boot.  We also learned valuable new tactics in our first foray into player vs player conflict and enjoyed many a battle against our adversaries over the next 18 months.

A Long Time Ago ...
in a Galaxy Far Away ...

Drawn by the popular culture phenomena of the George Lucas universe, many in Aedes Pendragon left Dark Age of Camelot in June 2003 to venture into Star Wars Galaxies.  There, we formed an Imperial Guild called Vortex, and eventually built our own city on the volcanic planet, Lok.  However, due to some very serious gameplay flaws, we were tending to look elsewhere for a new realm to explore, and a year later, we found it.

To the Bat Cave, Robin! ...

City of Heroes was the much anticipated super hero game within which many of us found ourselves.  In the City of Paragon, crime and criminal organizations were running amuck, and it was up to us to put a stop to it!  We formed the guild Special Forces in April 2004 and for the next six months or so spent our time arresting everyone from petty purse snatchers to crime lords and criminal organizations hell-bent on taking over the world.  Although lacking somewhat in end-game content, many of us still have a fond place in our hearts for this innovative and incredibly fun game, but then something happened that is a rarity in the MMORPG industry.

A Second Split ...

With the launch of Everquest 2 within two weeks of the launch of World of Warcraft in November 2004, again we found ourselves in a conundrum.  As you might expect, half went to EQ2, half to WoW, but over the six months that followed, many of those original WWC that tried EQ2 began to drift over to join the crew that had started in World of Warcraft.

A World Worth Exploring ...

Boasting worldwide subscribers of more than 5 million active accounts, there seems to be no end in sight and no slowing down for the absolutely splendid game crafted by Blizzard.  Under the dutiful leadership of Farway, the White Wolf Clan has risen again to become a guild of close friends with a common goal to have fun and promote goodwill amongst its members.

A Bright Future ...

World of Warcraft promises a land so rich in gameplay that it is hard to imagine another game usurping them anytime soon.  So once again, the Clan has reformed in a land rich with friends new and old.  We are each a member of something greater than ourselves, and it is through our fellowship with our fellow wolves, our respect for all those we meet, our assistance to those in need, our compassion for all alliance members, and our honorable dealings in all matters, that the White Wolf Clan has risen again, and will continue to rise to new heights in the coming years.

With respect,

Bloodloch
